Packing list:
We' ll have admission free for swimming pool. Don't forget about swimming accessories:
- swimming trunks/swimsuit,
- bathing cap,
- flip-flops (they can also be useful under the shower),
- towel, we'll have some towels in our rooms, but please bring one with you.
Take into consideration that the weather in Poland is changeable. July may be rainy but let's hope not. So you mustn't forget about:
- raincoat or umbrella (coat is definitely more convenient and windproof),
- waterproof shoes.
Our hotel belongs to sports and recreation center. There are facilities like gym, tennis court or football pitches. If you would like to play or exercise, take sportswear with you.
On ISSS we are going to go sightseeing. It's realy important to have comfortable clothing, mainly shoes, to enjoy this time.
Documents:
- passport or identity card,
- student-ID-card (take an international student-ID-card if you have one. Otherwise, pack your national one).
Painkillers and other medications you need on the regular basis.
Some useful tips:
Money Poland is not in Euro zone. You will have to exchange your money for PLN (złote). In Poznań there are a lot of currency exchange offices so it won't be a big problem. Probably you will find information that you can pay in some shops in euro but it’s not so common (and easy) as you may think.
Wi Fi We will have internet connection in our hotel.
Alcohol You can’t drink in public places! Drinking in such places like park, street, station ect ends a fine... So better remember - don't drink outside.
Cigaretts And again- you can’t smoke in public places, but it is not about each public place. What’s most important - you can’t smoke in the area of schools, universities, stops and stations, playgrounds. In bars, pubs, cafe, clubs and so on, there are usually special places for smokers, but you have to make sure before you do it.
